As the Black Dahlia Murder is such an intricate part of Los Angeles lore, and I have such an interest in local history, I'm a little embarrassed to say the anniversary of this tragic moment in L.A. history almost completely escaped my notice. I never really had that much of an interest in the murder of Elizabeth Short, though I do have a couple of books on the case.
